I LOVE ROCKS!
Fossiliferous Dolomite: buff to light greyish brown, probably original packstone to grainstone texture, fossils indistinct due to heavy dolomitization, in part medium subhedral to sucrosic euhedral rhombs (shown on left), streaky good porosity, pore throats typically 50 to 100μ to 150-200μ maximum, probable good permeability, in part tightly packed anhedral crystalline mosaic with streaky poor to fair intercrystalline porosity, traces dead oil in pore throats. POST-DRILLING
Geological Composite Logs:
During a job in Australia, I learned that many Wellsite Geologists do not construct Geological Striplogs or Composite logs at the wellsite but rather the striplogs were constructed after the well was finished, often by a different contractor. I am very proud of my Geological Striplogs and Composite Logs and am pleased to offer this service. I own the hasps for Wellsight Systems Vertical & Horizonal Striplogs and Composite Logs (See Link to Wellsite.com below picture) to see this drawing programs features or click the link below to go to the Wellsite Supervision Striplog page. It is a beautiful log drawing program and I am expert in it. Email the data and receive a high quality log that suits your needs exactly.
Wellsite Micro-Photography:
From the beginning of my career as a Wellsite Geologist, I have carried my own microscope. About 2 years into my wellsite work, I started taking pictures of drill cuttings through my microscope. Over the next 30 years I perfected my technique and now can provide 3-D high-definition micro-photographs of cuttings & core chips. This work can be conducted in your company office, at the wellsite or in our lab if you ship the cuttings to be analyzed.
Note the quality and sharpness of the photo; the pore throat geometry is visible and the crystal or grain size and pore throat measurements are easy to determine with the attached scale.
Wellsite Supervision:
Wellsite Geological Supervision has been the core of my business. I am happiest when sitting on a wellsite. There is nothing to compare to the adrenaline surge of getting up at 3:00am to describe samples that have been drilled overnight, pick formation tops, prepare the Daily Geological Report & update the Geological Striplog; all before the 7:00am cut-off. For me the satisfaction of high quality sample descriptions, taking great Micro-Photographs and a perfect casing or core pick would be hard to find in any other profession.
